Dawn Ritual — Privacy Policy

Effective 7 July 2026 · Dawn Ritual by Dannielle Healy

The short version: Dawn Ritual collects nothing. Everything you do in the app stays on your phone. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no server.

What stays on your device

Your alarms, chosen practices, streaks, and ritual history are stored only in the app's local storage on your phone. They are never transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Camera and practice videos

Dawn Ritual uses your camera to record your morning practice so the alarm knows you have truly done it. Recording happens entirely on your device. A video is kept only for the current session and is saved to your own files only if you tap "Save this morning's video" — otherwise it is discarded. Videos are never uploaded, shared, or accessible to anyone but you.

Presence check

During a practice, the app runs a small on-device face-detection model to confirm someone is in front of the camera. It answers only "a face is present" or "not present" in the moment. No face data, images, or biometric identifiers are stored, analysed further, or transmitted. The detection model file itself is downloaded from a public content delivery network; that download sends no personal data.

Notifications

Alarm notifications are scheduled locally on your phone. No notification data leaves your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Dawn Ritual has no server, requires no account, contains no advertising or analytics software, and sells or shares no data — because it never receives any.

Children

Dawn Ritual does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
